Light & Wonder has named former IGT head Aimee Hoyt as the supplier’s new chief people officer.
Hoyt, who will be based out of Las Vegas, joins the firm from Palo Alto Networks, where she most recently served as chief people officer as well.
She joined Palo Alto Networks, a cybersecurity firm, in January 2024. She stepped down as people chief in January of this year, but was retained as an adviser through to May.
Hoyt previously spent almost five years with IGT as executive vice-president of HR between 2010 and 2015.
Hoyt’s CV also includes a stint as chief HR officer at enterprise AI firm Rackspace and chief people officer at DNA sequencing tech company Illumina.
In her role as chief people officer for Light & Wonder, Hoyt will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s “global people strategy, talent, culture, organisational effectiveness and M&A integration”.
Hoyt’s appointment comes after former Light & Wonder chief people capability officer Roxane Lukas left the company last month.
Lukas took on the post in August 2022, having previous held senior people and HR roles at Electronic Arts and Monopoly GO! publisher Scopely.
Hoyt said: “I’m thrilled to return to the Las Vegas community and partner with this incredible team of creators who are bringing world-class games and experiences to life globally.
“Thank you to [CEO] Matt Wilson for this opportunity. I look forward to building on the foundation of a culture rooted in innovation and winning together.
“It truly is all about the games and the people who bring them to life.”
A company statement read: “We’re excited to welcome Aimee Hoyt to Light & Wonder as our new chief people officer. Aimee’s leadership and expertise in people and culture will help drive our next chapter of growth.”
As per the NA Slots Tracker, published in partnership with eGaming Monitor (EGM), Light & Wonder games are some of the top-performing slots in the US.
Huff N’ Even More Puff Grand and Huff N’ Puff High Rise are both top 10 titles, as per the ranking.
