LeoVegas Group chief transformation officer Petra Zackrisson has announced she will be stepping down from her role with the operator.

Zackrisson first joined LeoVegas as a senior consultant in March 2025, before stepping up to the C-suite role in June last year.

Prior to joining LeoVegas Group, Zackrisson amassed experience in the industry across several roles.

She served as senior vice-president of growth at Better Collective from December 2022 to November 2024 and, during that time, concurrently held a role as a non-executive board member at Casumo.

Her previous igaming C-suite experience extends to her three-year spell working for Kaizen Gaming.

There, Zackrisson initally joined as chief corporate development officer in September 2018, before transitioning to the role of chief strategy and business development officer from September 2020 to March 2022.

She also spent nearly five years in senior roles at Betsson Group between August 2013 and April 2018.

Writing about her departure on LinkedIn, Zackrisson explained she had fulfilled the objective set out for her when she joined LeoVegas Group.

She wrote: “When I joined LeoVegas Group in March 2025, the mandate was clear: to help create the structure, momentum and clarity needed to strengthen how we operate and deliver on our ambitions.

“Transformation starts with leaders and teams choosing every day to work differently, challenge old habits and stay resilient when it gets tough.

“It touches everything: people, structure, governance and process. And the balance between centralisation and local empowerment is always harder than it looks.

“Today, accountability is clearer, the overall structure is in place and the focus now shifts fully to execution on our strategy, delivering on our priorities and continuing the mindset shift across the organisation. I am proud of the work I’ve done supporting Leo to spark and shape the change taking the company to the next level.

“I leave confident in the direction ahead and with the leadership in place. I will now take a break, enjoy the spring sun and reflect over my next step.”

Zackrisson’s departure marks the latest senior changes at LeoVegas Group, after the company hired four former Flutter employees in November last year.

Those hires followed on from the appointment of Andy Wright as managing director for UK and Ireland in October.
