Lean Gaming Startups Get Enterprise CRM at Launch

Optimove says more than 60 startup casino and sports betting operators worldwide have signed up to its Ignite+ program since it launched in early 2025, a milestone the CRM specialist announced via GlobeNewswire on 29 September 2026. The company positions Ignite+ as a lower-barrier route into its Positionless Marketing platform for pre-launch and early-stage brands, built on two principles: time to value from day one, and a commercial ramp designed to track a startup’s cash flow rather than assume enterprise-level budgets.

Under the program, operators receive OptiStart predictive analytics, professional services and a dedicated CRM expert immediately, rather than waiting months to access those capabilities as they might on a standard enterprise contract, according to Optimove. The package also includes preferential first-year commercial terms with platform and implementation costs structured to increase in step with the operator’s growth, pre-built player journeys covering welcome, reactivation and balance-reminder flows, and benchmarking drawn from Optimove’s work with more than 1,200 casino and sports betting brands. The company also accepts cryptocurrency payments across Ignite+ and its wider client base, a nod to the number of newer operators for whom crypto is a native part of doing business.

Time to value, and a ramp built for cash flow

Motti Colman, Senior Vice President of Revenue, Gaming at Optimove, framed the program’s two pillars as complementary rather than competing priorities. “The first piece was time to value. We give operators OptiStart and professional services out of the gate, which are the more sophisticated and more valuable pieces that an operator at that stage could not otherwise afford, so they get the benefit early and close the gap. The second thing we built was a ramp, because cash flow is the problem for an early-stage business and we wanted to build alongside that,” Colman said.

From two-person teams to 250 campaigns a month

Optimove says Ignite+ operators run the same underlying platform used by the largest brands in the industry, and that half of EGR’s “Ones to Watch” startup operators are already its clients. The company also points to its customer-data foundation being built to serve an operator’s first hundred players and its hundred-thousandth without requiring a migration, a design choice aimed squarely at startups wary of outgrowing their tech stack. In practical terms, Optimove cites one startup operator that had a 50,000-player dataset live within two days, built its first seven email campaigns in a seven-day sprint including IP warm-up, and completed technical setup inside 20 days.

Herd Gaming, an Ignite+ operator that launched in July 2025 with a two-person marketing team and no dedicated data specialist or internal engineering resource, had real-time triggered campaigns running from launch and now runs an average of 250 campaigns a month, according to Optimove. “We’re running the same kind of CRM program as operators with ten times our headcount. Real-time data, automated flows, reporting, we act on the same day,” said Sofia Lehtonen, CRM Manager at Herd Gaming. “The difference is that there’s two of us, and Optimove covers the rest.”

Optimove also notes it was ranked first among 12 vendors for Real-Time Personalization and Decisioning in the 2026 Gartner Critical Capabilities evaluation, positioning cited by the company alongside the Ignite+ figures. The adoption numbers land against a backdrop where operators have wasted significant ad spend targeting bots and existing users, underscoring why lean startups are leaning on packaged CRM and predictive tooling rather than building acquisition and retention functions from scratch. It also fits a wider pattern of real-money gaming entering its mobile games era, where new entrants need enterprise-grade infrastructure without enterprise-grade headcount or budgets to match.
