Casino operator and B2B supplier LCKY Group has appointed Alex Manning as its new group chief technology officer (CTO), marking the first senior leadership hire since the company’s recent rebrand.

The appointment follows the firm’s transition from Glitnor Group to LCKY Group in January, a move designed to align the parent company more closely with its portfolio of B2C casino brands.

Manning brings more than 25 years of experience across fintech and igaming, with a background in digital transformation and scaling technology teams.

Prior to joining LCKY Group, he served as CTO for igaming at Light & Wonder, where he led an engineering transformation toward a product-led, cross-functional delivery model and oversaw the development of new products and market launches.

Richard Brown, group CEO at LCKY Group, said Manning’s experience in regulated markets and technology-led growth made him a strong fit for the role.

“Everyone at LCKY Group is absolutely thrilled to have Alex on board at what is undoubtedly a key moment in the ongoing evolution of our business,” he said.

“Alex joins us with vast experience of working in regulated markets across fintech and igaming, and this expertise combined with his exceptional track record for delivering smooth scale-ups and digital transformations make him ideally suited for the role of group CTO.”

Commenting on his appointment, Manning (pictured) said his focus would be on strengthening the company’s technology culture and supporting its portfolio of brands as it expands internationally.

Last September, the group secured €55m in investment from HG Vora Capital Management, stating the funds would be used for M&A and growth.

“I’m very excited to be joining LCKY Group at a time when the company is laser-focused on building broader international resonance and appeal in core regulated markets,” Manning said.

“As new group CTO, my number one priority will be building on the amazing culture that already exists within the group to create a high-performance environment where teams flourish, innovation thrives and each in-house brand gets the spotlight it deserves.”

LCKY Group’s consumer-facing brands include Lucky Casino, Happy Casino, Flax Casino, Vera&John and One Casino, while it also operates an in-house games studio, Swintt.

Founded in 2018, the group operates primarily in regulated markets including Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark and Ontario.
