Kindred Group will pull its online casino, poker and bingo offerings from the Polish market by the end of October, according to a notice sent to customers this week.

The operator, which runs the Unibet brand in Poland, confirmed that on 31 October it will pull the plug on online casino, bingo and poker in the market.

From 1 November, only Unibet’s sports betting offering will remain live on the Unibet Polska brand.

Kindred Group said all current customer accounts will remain unimpacted, with full access to deposits and withdrawals during the shuttering process.

The operator stipulated that all wagering requirements for bonuses must be met by 30 October, while existing bonuses must be used by the same date.

For the remaining sports betting product, Kindred said the offer will remain unchanged, with customers able to continue to deposit and withdraw funds, and live streaming also remains in place.

The closure of Kindred’s online casino, poker and bingo verticals in Poland comes after La Française des Jeux (FDJ) completed its €2.5bn acquisition of the operator at the start of October.

As per FDJ’s initial public tender offer from January, the French state-owned business said any combined group would only operate in locally regulated markets, or markets on the path to regulating.

The tender offer made explicit reference to exiting Norway as an example of Kindred’s dotcom presence.

At the time the tender offer was made, Kindred CEO Nils Andén said: “[The acquisition] will also speed up our path towards 100% locally regulated revenue.

“I’m excited to bring Kindred’s extensive experience and know-how into FDJ’s organisation, contributing to the development of a leading online gaming business. I’m also very proud that FDJ acknowledges and values the skilled employees and strong assets within Kindred.”

Kindred will delist from the Nasdaq Stockholm on 11 November after more than 20 years, with FDJ completing a squeeze out on the final shares it does not yet own.

Kindred also noted Q3 revenue of £294.5m last week, up 3.7% year on year.
