**Kindred Group’s Poker Chief Kristoffer Bergvall Resigns After Over a Decade**
Kristoffer Bergvall, who has been leading the poker division at Kindred Group, is stepping down after nearly 12 years with the company. His journey with Kindred began in March 2013 when he joined as a customer service agent, following a stint as a professional poker player between 2011 and 2013.
His career within the company saw him move to a poker operations executive position from December 2014 to November 2017, before advancing to the poker product marketing strategy manager role until September 2018. He was then elevated to the head of poker position, overseeing operations of Unibet Poker, the group’s main poker brand.
Significantly, poker has been a growing sector for Kindred, contributing £26.4 million to the company’s revenue in the first nine months of 2024, an increase from £25.5 million in the same time frame in the previous year.
Reflecting on his departure on LinkedIn, Bergvall expressed mixed emotions. He stated, “After an incredible 11 years, the time has come for me to say goodbye to Kindred. It’s a bittersweet moment. While I’m excited about the next chapter in my career, I’ll deeply miss the exceptional people and experiences that have defined my journey here.”
He conveyed gratitude for the valuable experiences, relationships, and development he achieved during his time at Kindred, highlighting the privilege of working with talented colleagues in the igaming sector. Bergvall added, “We’ve accomplished so much, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built.”
Bergvall also took the opportunity to thank the various companies he collaborated with, acknowledging how these partnerships in product development, marketing, and customer operations, among others, have shaped his professional growth and provided insights into the dynamic field of igaming. He extended special thanks to live tournament organizers, ambassadors, affiliates, and Relax Gaming for their critical collaboration and support.
Looking to the future, Bergvall stated with anticipation, “While this is the end of one chapter, I’m looking forward to what’s ahead with excitement and curiosity. Thank you, Kindred, for an unforgettable journey.”
This resignation is part of a series of recent departures from Kindred following its acquisition by La Française des Jeux (FDJ). In October, Christopher Parmenter announced his departure as group director of UX, and Evert Carlsson resigned as chair, with FDJ’s CFO Pascal Chaffard stepping in as his successor.
