Phantom, a crypto wallet with more than 20 million users, has tapped Kalshi to add prediction markets to its offering.
Phantom Prediction Markets will allow users to trade on politics, crypto, sports and culture.
In addition to standard Kalshi-powered markets, Phantom will include a “live community chat” feature where users can engage with one another.
Phantom said adding prediction markets would make the wallet a “single destination for accessing new financial activities”.
Phantom allows users to trade various cryptocurrencies and tokens, as well as NFTs.
The Kalshi tie-up will see Phantom users trade tokenised versions of Kalshi’s contracts using tokens like Solana.
The addition of Phantom as another partner will further bolster Kalshi’s reach.
The New York-based firm already counts Robinhood and PrizePicks as partners.
Kalshi recently closed a $1bn Series E funding round to value the prediction market at $11bn.
The firm has also partnered with Crypto.com, Coinbase, Underdog and Robinhood to launch the Coalition for Prediction Markets (CPM) trade body.
Tarek Mansour, Kalshi CEO, said: “Phantom opens a major new channel for growth by bringing our markets to millions of crypto-native users who want to express opinions on real-world events.
“At Kalshi, we are looking to be a leader on-chain like we are off-chain, and partnering with Phantom is a significant step in helping us achieve that goal.”
Brandon Millman, Phantom CEO, added: “We built Phantom to make crypto feel intuitive for everyone, and now we are bringing that same simplicity to prediction markets.
“By integrating a layer of tokenised positions referencing Kalshi’s regulated event markets with Phantom, users can trade what they care about in real time alongside the same community where they already explore DeFi, perps, stablecoins and more.”
