SMSF Quality & Assurance Specialist

The SMSF Quality & Assurance Specialist operates within the Stake Super team, driving the delivery of accurate and compliant Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) accounts. This role is crucial for upholding professional standards, ensuring timely tax return lodgement, and maintaining overall business integrity. The Specialist is responsible for guaranteeing the quality and accuracy of all delivered SMSF accounts and associated documentation. Primary Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive reviews of SMSF accounts, developing and maintaining systematic frameworks for quality review, managing performance feedback for process improvement, providing technical support to the internal accounting team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Secondary responsibilities involve serving as a technical point of contact for complex queries, developing training sessions for team members, and staying updated on legislative changes impacting the SMSF sector.

A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in SMSF, specifically within a quality consulting capacity at a top or mid-tier professional services firm. Possesses or is actively working towards a CA/CPA SMSF Specialist designation / registered Tax Agent. Demonstrates advanced proficiency with Class Super and possesses strong technical expertise in Australian accounting principles, taxation, financial reporting, and an in-depth knowledge of the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act (SISA) and Regulations (SISR). Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing competing priorities and strict deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment while also operating independently with minimal supervision.
