REQ14118 Senior Lifeguard (Open) POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Lifeguard ensures the highest level of safety and supervision for all guest and patrons within Facilities, while supporting the efficient daily operation of the Department in line with company services standards and standard operating procedures. Lifeguard Supervisor efficiently assists in the management of the daily Pool & Gym operations in accordance with the standards set by the company to meet the needs and demands of in-house guests, visitors, and hotel management PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides guidance and on-the-job support to lifeguards, monitors compliance and safety regulations. Assists the Lifeguard Assistant Manager to lead teams, to allocate responsibilities and monitor the performance of Lifeguard Ensure continuous lifeguard coverage during operational hours. Ensure rescue readiness, scanning techniques and safety discipline. Coordinate swimming pool coverage. Lead emergency response, rescue, first aid, CPR and AED use in the absence of Assistant Manager Lifeguard Conduct inspections of pools and surrounding areas, maintaining readiness of rescue and medical equipment. Report and Complete incidents, accidents and near-miss reports. Support Evacuation and Reopening procedures Maintain accurate operational logs and compliance records Prepare reports for management, government authorities when required. Participate in inspection by Municipality and regulatory bodies. Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time Reports accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant departments Adheres to all company policies and procedures Through leadership and supervision, encourages behaviours that promote health and safety responsibility, accountability and awareness Contributing to training and continues improvement of safety practices. Undertakes tasks as directed by the Health and Safety and Security management Conducts Health and Safety Risk Assessments and Incident Investigations as required Manages Shift briefings & provides operational briefings as required, and conducts de-briefs in relation to serious incidents and assisted removals QUALIFICATIONS: Experience Minimum 3-years of experience in a hotel/commercial pools/ water park as a Lifeguard Previous 5-star hotel services or relevant experience is an advantage Education High school diploma International Lifeguard Saving Skills First Aid & AED certification is a must Skills Computer literate with Microsoft Office skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Possesses strong organizational and time management skills Excellent command of English and Greek with business writing skills Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight weekends and holiday on rotation basis PERPERSONAL COMPETENCIES: Attention to detail and able to work under pressure Achieves agreed objectives and accepts accountability for results Displays a high commitment to delivering results Communicates effectively Displays the highest level of integrity Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality Solves problems, takes decisions, and delegates tasks Self-motivated Approachable Presents a high commitment to improving customer service Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited (“Melco”) is a developer, owner and operator of casino gaming and entertainment casino resort facilities in Asia.
