Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive NOC IT Specialist to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting critical IT systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and uptime. The position requires shift-based availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to provide 24/7 operational support. Key Responsibilities include continuously monitoring IT infrastructure, applications, and networks using NOC tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix), identifying, analyzing, and escalating alerts or incidents to appropriate teams or stakeholders, maintaining logs and incident records for auditing and reporting purposes, responding to and resolving technical incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of issues, providing root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommending preventive measures, tracking and reporting on system and network performance metrics, suggesting and implementing improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency, assisting with capacity planning and forecasting for IT infrastructure, performing basic troubleshooting of servers, networks, and applications, collaborating with vendors and third-party service providers to address and resolve issues, conducting routine system checks and maintenance tasks to prevent downtime, providing 24/7 coverage on a rotating shift schedule, maintaining effective handovers between shifts to ensure continuity of service, staying available for on-call support as needed, updating operational procedures, knowledge bases, and incident reports, communicating effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management regarding ongoing issues and resolutions, and preparing daily and weekly operational reports.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 1-3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network operations. Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.). Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, New Relic). Basic troubleshooting skills for servers, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Team player with a proactive attitude. Willingness to adapt to a shift-based schedule, including nights and weekends.
