Java Developer

As a Java Developer, you will help design and build the internal platforms that power iGaming operations—such as studio tools, configuration and content management, operator/admin back-office services, reporting, integrations, and operational workflows. This role suits engineers who enjoy ownership, building reliable services, and collaborating closely with product and operations stakeholders in a fast-moving environment. Key Responsibilities include designing and developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot, delivering reliable, maintainable APIs for internal platforms and admin tools. You will build and evolve a scalable microservices architecture for back-office domains (configuration, users/roles, content/admin, audit, reporting, workflow automation). Additionally, you will deploy and operate services on Kubernetes, focusing on availability, scalability, and resource efficiency. You will use cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) to build and run cloud-native services, including storage, networking, and managed services where appropriate. Implementing service-to-service communication patterns (REST/event-driven) and supporting real-time updates for admin/studio UIs (e.g., WebSockets/SSE) will also be part of your responsibilities. You will design and manage data persistence using PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB, including schema design, migrations, indexing, and performance tuning. Applying security best practices such as authentication/authorization (RBAC), secure API design, secrets management, audit trails, and data protection is essential. Writing unit/integration tests, participating in code reviews, and continuously improving reliability and performance are also key aspects of the role. Finally, you will set up and maintain observability (structured logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) and support production troubleshooting while collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps/SRE, operations) to deliver features end-to-end and maintain clear technical documentation.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Proven backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot/Spring. Strong understanding of microservices, API design, and distributed systems fundamentals. Hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cloud-native patterns. Solid experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and performance considerations. Strong grasp of security in backend systems (authn/authz, OWASP-style risks, data protection). Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and release best practices. Strong debugging/problem-solving skills; clear communication and teamwork. Interest in building robust internal platforms within iGaming.
