Head of Compliance Operations

Our client is an iGaming solutions provider delivering sportsbook, casino, lottery and player management software as a service. In this Head of Compliance Operations role, you will lead and scale compliance across all regulated activities, reporting directly to C‑level. This is a permanent, remote position with one vacancy, aligned to GMT +4 hours, with Dubai as a desirable reference. You will build and guide a high‑performing team and partner with product, technology, legal, HR and risk teams to embed compliance and data protection into every part of the business. The role blends policy, process, and hands‑on risk management to support rapid growth. You will have the opportunity to shape strategy, drive automation, and ensure regulatory adherence while enabling intelligent growth in a fast‑moving, global iGaming environment. You will also influence culture and deliver scalable processes that support the organisation’s expansion. Responsibilities include: Operational leadership: lead, mentor, and support senior leaders across KYC, AML, regulatory operations, policy operations, compliance automation, and data protection; set objectives, performance standards, and governance for all compliance verticals; drive consistent, high‑quality execution. Compliance operations and process design: oversee end‑to‑end workflows, drive automation, embed controls into products, systems, and customer journeys. Policy, regulatory, trademark and data protection oversight: maintain accurate policies and procedures, oversee trademark enforcement, monitor GDPR, and implement regulatory changes as they arise. Risk management and assurance: lead internal audits, track findings and remediation, support regulatory examinations and data protection audits. Compliance strategy and governance: develop and execute a global compliance operations strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Cross‑functional collaboration: work with risk, legal, tax, AML, product, technology, security and HR to embed best practices and promote a culture of compliance. Direct reports: you will oversee a team including a Compliance Operations Manager, Senior Trademark & Policy Operations Specialist, Regulatory Manager and Data Protection Manager. Candidate requirements: A hands‑on, experienced compliance leader with a broad understanding of iGaming compliance. Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing compliance operations. Background in iGaming, fintech, or regtech environments. Comfortable operating in a startup or scale‑up environment, with a pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset. Strong understanding of technology‑first businesses and digital platforms. Experience working in‑house with development teams on bespoke tools or automation is highly desirable. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities across different compliance functions simultaneously. Calm, clear, and concise communicator, able to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences. Confident presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders when required. Relocation and benefits Relocation is considered; the client will consider offering visa support if you need to relocate.
