AI Lead - Developer Productivity

EveryMatrix is looking for an AI Lead focused on developer productivity, tasked with improving how our engineering teams utilize AI to enhance software development processes. This role is not about traditional machine learning or AI research; instead, it emphasizes practical applications of AI to streamline daily developer activities. The AI Lead will serve as a guiding figure within the engineering organization, introducing AI tools, workflows, and prompt engineering practices that significantly boost developer productivity. The initial focus will be on hands-on experimentation and impactful initiatives, with the potential to evolve into a dedicated AI productivity function over time. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities for AI to enhance development workflows, introducing AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, and documentation processes, and reducing repetitive tasks to improve engineering velocity. The role also involves developing prompt libraries for common engineering tasks, teaching developers effective interaction with AI tools, and establishing repeatable AI workflows across teams. Success will be measured through tangible improvements in developer productivity, such as faster development cycles, reduced time on repetitive tasks, and increased adoption of AI-assisted workflows. The ideal candidate will have a background in software engineering or developer tooling, hands-on experience with AI tools, and strong communication skills.

Background in software engineering, developer tooling, platform engineering, or developer productivity; Hands-on experience using AI tools or LLMs to support software development; Strong understanding of modern developer workflows; Experience with prompt engineering and AI-assisted development tools; Ability to influence engineering teams and drive adoption of new practices; Strong English communication skills.
