In a recent interview with AffPapa, Aleksandar Dasic, the Head of Affiliate Marketing at Bragg Gaming Group, shared his thoughts on the evolution of affiliate strategies, Bragg’s latest game features, and what’s next for the company.

Yeva: Throughout the time you’ve been leading affiliate marketing at Bragg Gaming Group, what’s been the biggest change in how affiliates connect with players recently?

One of the biggest shifts I’ve seen is how affiliates are moving beyond static reviews and SEO-driven content to more dynamic, community-based engagement. Live streaming, short-form videos, and interactive social media formats have become central to how players discover new games. Affiliates are focusing more on storytelling and real-time interaction, creating experiences that feel authentic and personal rather than purely promotional. This change gives us more opportunities to collaborate on creative campaigns that meet players where they already spend their time, while still delivering measurable value to our operator partners.

Yeva: Bragg’s widely known for unique game content. How do you build your affiliate strategies when you’ve got new mechanics to work with?

New mechanics are a great opportunity to give affiliates fresh talking points and a reason to re-engage their audiences. When we launch a game with something innovative, we work closely with affiliates to create tailored content that explains the mechanic, showcases it in action, and communicates why it’s exciting for players. This can mean exclusive previews, tutorial-style videos, or branded assets they can adapt to their own style. The goal is always to equip our partners with everything they need to tell the story effectively and make the feature stand out in a crowded market.

Yeva: Connect & Collect is one of Bragg’s newest main features in select games by Wild Streak Gaming and Atomic Slot Lab. How does it change the player experience compared to classic slot features?

Connect & Collect creates a more layered experience than you’d typically find in other slot games, as symbol connections players try to establish can lead to a wider variety of handy bonuses, even multiple simultaneously. On the other hand, it’s also a much more direct experience that harks back to the good old times of stepper slots and their gameplay effects that made them attractive: what you see is what you get. With contemporary slots featuring hundreds of paylines or thousands of winways, there is something lost, namely the visual satisfaction of seeing symbols align just like in those old-school 3×3 games.

Slot complexity rose since the days of mechanical slots, and for players, the experience of seeing symbols nicely aligned virtually disappeared as it was replaced by background win calculations. The Connect & Collect mechanic keeps what’s great about complexity, such as a variety of multiple outcomes, but also brings back the joy of watching symbols fall into place like you were solving a puzzle. This creates a sense of progression and accomplishment that resonates with players and keeps them satisfied.

Yeva: Your next most recent slot game, Cash Towers, includes a feature that boosts player progress (wilds that help players climb all towers) and another one that can reset it entirely (stoppers). Which part do you think gets players most excited and gives affiliates the most to talk about?

Both elements play a big role in the game’s appeal, but they work precisely because both are present; they’re two sides of the same coin. The wilds give players a surge of progress and create those “big moment” wins that are perfect for streams and highlight clips. The stoppers, on the other hand, introduce tension and unpredictability; they’re the twist that keeps players fully engaged and gives the game its unique rhythm. For affiliates, this perfect blend of both risk and reward is a storytelling goldmine. It gives them the chance to showcase not just the highs, but also the drama and suspense that make players want to keep climbing.

Speaking of player experience in the strict sense of the word, players of Cash Towers games aren’t playing against the game as much as they are playing against themselves. The simplicity of this mechanic keeps them focused on each and every spin while they falter and vacillate about what to do next: should they give in to their ambition and spin some more – or act reasonably and collect the cashpot? This creates a sense of intimate investment in the game and makes the entire experience very personal. And when things get personal, they also get passionate, captivating, and intense. This pronounced personal and emotional component is a big part of the appeal of Cash Towers games. You could say these are “cheap thrills” and I wouldn’t disagree with you, but they do lead to profound satisfaction and meaningful experiences that make the players feel they got their money’s worth from the game.

Yeva: Both new additions that we talked about give players more control than usual. Do you see this becoming a bigger trend in slot design?

Absolutely, although I prefer to see it as letting players make decisions instead of taking control. Nevertheless, giving players more influence over the outcomes is becoming a clear trend in slot design, and I think it’s here to stay. Let’s not forget that, unlike with previous generations, many contemporary players grew up playing video games on PCs and consoles as well. They are practically spoiled with all the interactivity and sense of agency they get from those games, so they want to feel like their decisions matter, even in games of chance. Features that allow them to shape their progress or trigger bonuses add depth and personalization to the gameplay and keep them engaged longer. From an affiliate perspective – and especially in the context of slot player communities where players can share their experiences with others – these mechanics work great because they naturally lend themselves to content that’s more interactive and discussion-worthy. Again, it must be a generational thing as it’s less “look what happened to me” and more “look what I did”.

Yeva: What’s the player feedback been like so far, and has it given you ideas for new features players and affiliates can look forward to?

The feedback has been very positive, especially around how these features make the games feel more dynamic and rewarding. Players enjoy the balance between control and unpredictability, and affiliates appreciate having fresh angles to present to their audiences. It’s also sparked ideas for expanding on these mechanics, for example, combining progression features with community or multiplayer elements, or introducing variations that can adapt to different player styles. We’re always listening to both players and affiliates because that combination of insights often leads to our most successful innovations.

Yeva: Speaking of new features, how do you see Bragg’s games evolving over the next year?

We do not anticipate a reduction in our pace, despite having introduced several successful global mechanisms since 2023. In 2025, we are enthusiastic about the launch of two novel mechanisms. While I am unable to disclose the complete title at this time, I can indicate that one will center on the themes of “dollars, dollars, and dreams.” We encourage you to monitor our social media channels for further information. Additionally, our team is already conceptualizing initiatives beyond these forthcoming releases. The escalating popularity of Plinko has prompted us to develop concepts for reimagining its gameplay. You should watch this space as there’s a lot more to come in this area from Bragg.
