The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) has appointed four new trustees to its board of directors, including the head of the Danish Gambling Authority, Anders Dorph.
At its AGM in Rome last month, the organisation confirmed that Dorph will be joined by Botswana’s Peter Emolemo Kesitilwe, the UAE’s Kevin Mullally and New Jersey exec Louis Rogacki.
Dorph has led the Danish Gambling Authority since November 2020 after four years as head of asylum for the Danish Immigration Service.
In June 2023, he was named vice-chair of the Gaming Regulators European Forum.
Kesitilwe is the CEO of the Botswana Gambling Authority, the state-run body entrusted to oversee all regulatory efforts in the African nation since its 2012 Gambling Act was passed.
Previously the regulator’s CFO, he made the step up to CEO in July 2022, initially on an interim basis before securing the role permanently in November 2023.
Rogacki is a stalwart of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, having worked for the regulatory body since September 2002.
He served as deputy attorney general for 14 years, then became acting attorney general and deputy director in November 2016, where he oversees the organisation’s Atlantic City headquarters.
Mullally, who was recently appointed as CEO of the UAE’s General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority, was the final addition to the IAGR board.
He spent five years as Michigan Gaming Commission executive director between December 2000 and April 2006, as well as 17 years with Gaming Laboratories International, in which time he worked as general counsel and vice-president of government relations.
IAGR also revealed that Trude Høgseth Felde, the Norwegian Gambling Authority’s senior adviser, and Mabutho Zwane, the CEO of the Eastern Cape Gambling and Betting Board, would step down from the board. The pair had each previously served terms as IAGR president.
Current IAGR president Ben Haden welcomed the four new arrivals, stating: “Their diverse expertise and leadership across different jurisdictions will bring fresh perspectives to our work, further strengthening our global approach to gaming regulation.
“I look forward to collaborating with Peter, Louis, Kevin and Anders as we continue to foster innovation and drive forward effective, responsible regulation for the benefit of the global gaming community.”
He added: “We also extend a big thank you to Trude Høgseth Felde and Mabutho Zwane for their dedicated service as they complete their terms on the board, and I’m pleased to announce that Jason Lane will continue for another term as a trustee.”
