InsightPlay.ai has announced the successful raise of a $500,000 (£372,167) following a seed funding round backed by industry veterans and angel investors across gaming, payments, data and marketing.
The startup said the funding will support its mission to transform how igaming operators “acquire, retain and reactivate” players.
InsightPlay.ai currently works with operators and affiliates across the Americas and Europe, including Stake and Codere.
The seed round included investors such as former DraftKings and evoke exec Jeffrey Haas, ex-Better Collective North America CEO Marc Pedersen and Avenue H Capital principal Benjie Cherniak.
InsightPlay.ai builds AI agents for the igaming industry designed to allow operators to automate onboarding, responsible gaming flows and fraud detection.
Last month, the startup, gained two information security certifications in an important development for its operational reputation.
The company was founded last year by former Futbol Sites execs Javier Troncoso and Cristian Barbosa.
Better Collective acquired Futbol Sites as part of its February 2024 acquisition of Playmaker Capital.
Troncoso, InsightPlay.ai CEO, said: “The backing we’ve received reflects a shared belief that AI in igaming must move beyond isolated features and into core infrastructures.
“Our focus is building technology that operators can trust, scale and govern across regulated markets.”
Barbosa, InsightPlay.ai COO, added: “From day one, we set out to build a company driven by customer outcomes, not technology for technology’s sake.
“By combining innovation, product vision and deep gaming expertise, we’re positioned to create lasting, industry-wide impact.”
