Hotel chain Lopesan has announced the opening of four new casinos in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
The hotel chain brought together tour operators and travel agents in Buenos Aires to present its 2026 news, including three new hotels and an ambitious growth plan in the Caribbean.
The event’s central announcement was the addition of three new hotels in Punta Cana, which will begin operating in May 2026 and will nearly double the chain’s capacity in the destination.
These developments include Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort, Spa & Casino, aimed at the premium and corporate segments and connected to a convention centre opening in 2027; Lopesan Splash Cove Resort, Spa & Casino, a family-oriented destination with water parks and high-capacity rooms for large families; and Lopesan Serenity Bay Resort, Spa & Casino, an adults-only property with an exclusive offering and access to the facilities of the family complexes.
With these openings, Lopesan will go from a little over 1,000 rooms to more than 2,000 in Punta Cana, strengthening its position in the destination.
One of the standout aspects of the new proposal is the incorporation of innovative concepts in the Caribbean, such as swimmable artificial cenotes with cascades and recreated natural spaces, and a central lagoon of more than 5,000 m² that will serve as the social epicentre of the hotels.
There is also a wide range of entertainment, including water parks, a wave pool, clubs for children and teenagers, plus a boulevard with services, gastronomy, and leisure that operates as an integrated entertainment centre within the complex.
The proposal is complemented by the concept “Endless Luxury,” which includes unlimited gastronomy, premium beverages, total connectivity, and personalized experiences for guests.
From Lopesan they project a 2026 marked by growth in volume, but also by greater specialization of their offer, segmenting products according to traveller profiles: families, couples, corporate segment, and luxury.
Lopesan Hotel Group is a leading Spanish family-owned business based in Gran Canaria, founded in 1972. It specializes in tourism, construction, and agriculture, managing 22 hotels across Spain, Germany, Austria, and the Caribbean, employing over 6,000 people.
