The opening date for Happy Valley Casino will be announced following the test days
Saratoga Casino Holdings has confirmed that its Happy Valley Casino will be holding test days on April 24 and 25.
The test days, which are open to the public, are needed by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to make sure all operations and procedures meet gaming regulations before opening. All proceeds from the two-day event will benefit the State College Food Bank and the YMCA of Centre County.

The opening date for Happy Valley Casino will be announced following the test days. It will open with 600 slots and 30 table games. The Category 4 or mini-casino is being developed at the Nittany Mall in College Township, close to the State College.
Saratoga Casino Holdings was granted a gaming license last year by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. SCH now holds gaming licenses for non-tribal casinos in four states, including New York, Mississippi, Colorado and Pennsylvania.

Once open, Happy Valley Casino is expected to create 350 permanent jobs, generate nearly $20m in annual wages, contribute $70 to $90m to the regional economy, and provide over $1.5m in local tax revenue each year.
Saratoga Casino Holdings (SCH) owns and operates Saratoga Casino Hotel, in Saratoga Springs, NY; Saratoga Casino Black Hawk, located in the historic town of Black Hawk, CO; and Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel, situated along the Mississippi River in Natchez, Mississippi. Combined, SCH properties include approximately 175,000 square feet of casino gaming space with over 2,100 slot machines, table games, a poker room and a sportsbook. The location is just a few miles from Beaver Stadium.
