GLI shows modernised client journey on GLIAccess

Gaming Laboratories International was at ICE, talking about expansion, continuity and the evolving portal that is GLIAccess.

James Boje, Managing Director of EMEA, said: “Over the last 36 years of GLI’s growth, investing behind the scenes is nothing new. It really is about continuity, not change, keeping GLI at the forefront of innovation whilst setting the industry standard that manufacturers, governments and regulators all need and expect from us. We maintain the trust we’ve earned by delivering on time, every time, in an industry where technology is constantly evolving.

“Over the last year, we’ve invested in technology, resources and people. We’ve added 270 fully trained professionals to our global testing and delivery teams, giving us the capacity to respond quickly when new markets open. We’ve opened new offices in Brazil and the Philippines, combined our GLI and Trisigma businesses in Spain and the Netherlands, and relocated our iTech Labs operations to Bulgaria and India. We’ve invested in recruiting more people to interact with government and regulators. We now have over 1,600 people in our company to serve our 2,000 plus clients worldwide.”

“Brazil was a challenging market due to its sheer size and the number of companies that wanted to enter. GLI has to be ahead of the curve. When overseeing the opening of a new market, we really want to put ourselves in a position where we can answer the questions that the manufacturers don’t even know they need to ask yet, and that takes constant dialogue with government and regulators to understand what regulation is coming and how it will be interpreted.

The physical representation of some of the work behind the scenes was on the exhibition floor at ICE Barcelona, with a modernised client journey on the company’s digital platform, GLIAccess.

Mr Boje said: “GLIAccess is a portal that allows customers to know exactly where their submissions are up to, what needs doing and when certification will arrive. It offers 24-hour access to project resources, real-time updates, and dedicated support. We’ve improved the user experience with a new dashboard for self-service options, online reporting and project tracking, streamlined approvals, and onboarding. We’ve looked to make the process as smooth as possible for our customers from the first interaction, through every touch point to the final delivery.”

Security remains central to everything GLI does, and as such it has developed the industry’s first and only gaming security standard: the GLI Gaming Security Framework to address concern about cybersecurity and the sustained increase in costs associated with cyber insurance.

“This is something we created for the global industry,’ Mr Boje explained. “We’ve drawn on best practices for information security and have worked together with our Bulletproof Solutions division to create the GLI Gaming Security Framework, adding modules for suppliers, land-based, and online gaming controls to launch the industry’s benchmark for cybersecurity.”

Last year, GLI brought the leading ISS services from Bulletproof fully under the GLI brand. This portfolio includes Cybersecurity Assessment, Audit and Compliance, and Strategy and Governance solutions.

GLI-GSF integrates the CIS Controls, developed by the Center for Internet Security (CIS), as a basis for ensuring robust security measures. This launch was followed by three new modules: GLI Game Security Framework Module 3 (GLI-GSF-3) v1.0: Auditing Game Information Security Controls (GIS) – Vendor Controls, GLI Game Security Framework Module 4 (GLI-GSF-4) v1.0: Auditing Game Information Security Controls (GIS) – Land-Based Game Controls and GLI Game Security Framework Module 5 (GLI-GSF-5) v1.0: Auditing Game Information Security Controls (GIS) – Online Game Controls.
