Gentoo Media has announced a double promotion of Micha Leth Hellerøe and Dijana Radunovic to senior leadership positions.

Hellerøe steps up to the firm’s C-suite as chief people officer, having initially joined in 2017, when the company was known as Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), as a HR business partner before a promotion to head of people in Denmark followed in October 2019.

After three-and-a-half years in the role, Hellerøe was appointed as head of people for the media department, a position she held for two years, which was followed by a further promotion in November 2023 to director of people for the same department.

Prior to joining Gentoo Media, she worked in HR for several Danish companies including advertising services firm Rebel Penguin and software services company Clio Online.

Speaking on her promotion, Hellerøe said: “Over the past 18 months, we’ve built a strong foundation for the people function.

“It gives us the credibility to scale, move faster and align our people strategy with the business.

“Bringing the people function into the executive team signals a shift. It shows we recognise that performance, engagement and how we show up as an employer aren’t side conversations. They are central to how we build a company that lasts.”

Meanwhile, Radunovic’s promotion sees her move into the senior director of sales role.

Radunovic first moved to Gentoo Media in October 2023 as head of affiliation and general manager at AskGamblers.

A year later and she became director of sales at AskGamblers and Time2Play.

Prior to joining the affiliate, Radunovic spent five years with Catena Media between April 2018 and September 2021 in several roles including senior account manager, culture ambassador and account manager team lead.

Her experience prior to joining the gambling industry was in sales, working for Serbian hardware and software tools retailer MikroElektronika and computer and network security firm Secure and Reliable Networks.

In her new role, Radunovic will lead Gentoo Media’s global sales strategy, focusing on long-term value creation and strengthening partnerships across the globe.

Radunovic said: “I’m excited to step into this role and use my experience to strengthen our commercial approach across markets.

“We’ll continue to evolve alongside the industry with focus, clarity and strong relationships at the centre of how we grow.”

Jonas Warrer, Gentoo Media CEO, commented on the promotions, applauding the pivotal roles both women have played in the film’s growth over the past seven years.

“These appointments reflect more than career milestones,” he said. “They represent the kind of leadership we believe in: thoughtful, value-driven and grounded in deep understanding of our people, our business and our partners.”
