The Gentoo Media-owned online marketing company, Atlas SEO, has put 50 jobs at risk after announcing plans for closure.

Atlas SEO was founded in 2020 by Charles Hodge and Lee Tadd and was later acquired by Gentoo Media in 2024 in a €3.2 million deal; however, in a letter sent in early February 2026, Gentoo CEO Jonas Warrer revealed that the period since the founders’ departure from the company has been challenging.

Warrer stated:

“We have fought to stabilize the business, but the turnaround simply has not happened fast enough, and the company is under severe financial pressure. As a result of this pressure, the company has taken the difficult decision to terminate the lease on the Norwich office. It is therefore proposed to close down our physical operations in Norwich and wind down the company. This means that regretfully, all roles based in Norwich are at risk of redundancy.”

Warrer added that the company is now in a collective redundancy consultation process. Additionally, a staff member shared that all employees were called to a meeting on February 5, 2026, where they were told that all positions would be put up for redundancy.

Warrer has recognized the confusion that the situation has created for employees and has committed to being open and fair with them during the process. Despite all positions being at risk at Atlas SEO, the CEO stressed they are actively trying to find alternative solutions.
