Gentoo Media has announced the appointment of Måns Svalborn as the company’s new CFO.
Svalborn is set to take up the position in early October 2026, replacing former CFO Mads Haugegaard Albrechtsen in the role.
Albrechtsen resigned from the Stockholm-listed affiliate’s C-suite in May after 15 months with the company.
Svalborn’s previous role before joining Gentoo Media was as CFO of Raketech, where he worked for six years after joining in November 2019.
He stepped down as Raketech CFO in January as he looked to pursue other opportunities.
In May, Raketech replaced him with director of finance Victoria Darmanin on an interim basis.
Prior to joining Gentoo Media, Svalborn was vice-president of financial services firm Credorax between August 2018 and September 2019.
He also held several roles at Finnish bank Nordea between August 2015 and July 2018, with his last position being head of group regulatory financial reporting.
On his appointment at the Malta-headquartered firm, Svalborn said: “I’m delighted to be joining Gentoo Media at such an exciting stage of the company’s journey.
“Gentoo Media has built a portfolio of highly recognised brands and established a strong position in the global affiliate market. I look forward to working with the team to build on that success and create long-term value for our shareholders.”
Gentoo Media CEO, Jonas Warrer, added: “Måns is a highly experienced CFO with a strong track record in the affiliate industry.
“His combination of listed-company experience, deep financial expertise and proven leadership within listed igaming affiliate businesses makes him an excellent addition to Gentoo Media.
“I am confident he will play an important role as we continue executing on our long-term growth strategy.”
In May, Gentoo Media confirmed the shutdown of its Norwich office during Q1, which resulted in 41 job losses across the company.
Management had previously spoken about making a strategic shift towards becoming a “leaner, more focused and more profitable business”.
The firm reported revenue of €24m for the quarter, representing a 5% decrease year on year.
Following the announcement, Raketech said Svalborn was resigning from its board of directors, having “concluded that his new position is not compatible with continued service” with the affiliate.
