Genius Sports is set to be a key player in TNT Sports’ coverage of the Knockout Rounds of the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup, aiming to deliver a distinctive viewing experience.

Partnering with the sports data and technology company, alongside the NBA 2K basketball video game production, TNT Sports will launch an engaging NBA 2K25 DataCast. This offering will provide viewers with diverse experiences on its truTV and Max platforms.

The broadcast will feature enhancements like a Shot Meter, 2K Badges, and official 2K camera angles, resembling the game itself. These elements will be integrated with instant game insights such as player tracking, shot probability, and shot distance, all thanks to Genius Sports’ technology, GeniusIQ.

The augmented reality experience will cover live action from the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup Quarterfinals on December 10 and the Semifinal on December 14, featuring contributions from basketball icons Vince Carter, Candace Parker, and Channing Frye, among others.

Further insights before, during, and after games will be provided by the team behind the Emmy-winning studio show ‘Inside the NBA presented by Kia,’ including Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O’Neal.

In 2024, Genius Sports has shown significant growth, reporting revenues of $120 million in their third-quarter financial update, surpassing corporate forecasts.

Reflecting on the progress, Mark Locke, Co-Founder and CEO of Genius Sports, stated: “Our robust results stem from effective commercial strategies, positioning us for profitable growth alongside our partners as the sports betting industry continues to transform and grow.”

“We are enabling partners within the sports ecosystem to more effectively reach, engage, and monetize fans with our state-of-the-art technology and unique data-driven insights.”
