Genius Sports has announced a 20.3% year-on-year (YoY) revenue jump for Q1 to $144m amid a 44.2% surge in revenue from its betting division.

The New York-listed supplier noted topline revenue jumped from $119.7m in Q1 2024 to $144m in the first three months of 2025.

The growth was driven primarily by its betting technology, content and services arm, with revenue up 44.2% from $73.9m to $106.5m.

Bosses said the gains in that division were derived from existing customers following price increases on contract renewals and renegotiations.

The sports technology and services arm reported an 11.7% YoY spike in revenue from $10.3m to $11.6m, with sales across the GeniusIQ range cited as the main driver.

However, the business’ media technology, content and services pillar reported a 27% slide in revenue from $35.5m to $25.9m.

This was as a result of “lower programmatic and social advertising services” compared to Q1 2024.

Group adjusted EBITDA soared 188% from $6.9m to $19.8m, while adjusted EBITDA margin expanded from 5.7% to 13.7%.

Net losses also shrank YoY, falling from $25.5m to $8.2m for the reporting period.

Following the release of the Q1 update, Genius Sports has forecast full-year 2025 revenue to hit around $620m and adjusted EBITDA to be approximately $125m.

On the revenue front, this would imply YoY growth of 21% and 46% for adjusted EBITDA.

Alongside the guidance, management have also approved a $100m share repurchase programme, with further details on the timings to be confirmed in due course.

Mark Locke, Genius Sports CEO, said: “This quarter demonstrates the strong execution of our strategic objectives, as we continue our technology distribution, product innovation and commercial momentum.

“Our largely fixed cost base, coupled with several durable growth drivers, reinforces our confidence in delivering sustainable growth, profitability and cash flow in 2025 and beyond.”

Last week, Genius Sports rolled out its BetVision product for football across multiple competitions, including France’s Ligue 1 and the Turkish Süper Lig.
