Canadian casino group Gateway Casinos & Entertainment is celebrating 10 years of operating its Cascades Casino in Kamloops.
Cascades Casino Kamloops was the first Gateway property to be unveiled as part of a redevelopment strategy to dramatically improve the customer experience by creating a complete entertainment destination that offers customers much more than just gaming. Since that time, Gateway has invested over $1bn in new redevelopment projects across Canada.
The company kicked off a monthlong celebration August 1 with the launch of the $10K Ball Grab Tornado promotion, which continues through August with special anniversary day events set for Tuesday.
Since opening on August 19, 2015 in Kamloops Cascades Casino has welcomed nearly five million visitors across the gaming floor, and donated more than $60,000 in monetary and in-kind support to non-profit and community organizations.
It’s supported Kamloops with more than 2,600 volunteer hours for Royal Inland Hospital, Drive Thru Breakfast, Kamloops Food Bank, Casting for a Cause Fishing Derby, Starfish Backpack Program, KBIA and more.
The City of Kamloops, meanwhile, has received more than $43.3 million in gaming revenue from Cascades Casino in its decade of operation.

There are 47 employees working at the casino who have been employed there since it opened.
