Games Global has added former 888 and SciPlay exec Or Shavit as its new chief studio officer, in the latest senior shift at the supplier.

Shavit joins Games Global having served as an industry and startup consultant since departing SciPlay back in May 2025.

From April 2021 to May 2025, Shavit was vice-president and general manager at SciPlay Corporation, which was fully acquired by Light & Wonder in 2023.

Shavit’s first entry into igaming was in 2009 when he joined at 888 as payment product manager. He worked his way up to director of casino and games products in 2013, a role he remained in until March 2021.

His arrival at Games Global, which acquired several Microgaming assets in 2022 to bolster its footprint and enter markets, comes after a series of changes to the company’s C-suite.

In Q4, the supplier confirmed several redundancies as part of a wider restructuring of the business.

Among the C-suite, long-term COO Theo Naicker departed in March, while chief people and transformation officer Leila Goelz left in November.

Mark MacCombie was promoted to chief commercial officer in November, having served as executive vice-president of business development and strategic initiatives since June 2024.

Games Global has more than 1,300 proprietary games and partners with more than 40 other studios to add content to its offering.

The business suspended its plans for a $275m IPO two years ago, despite “strong” investor interest at the time. Games Global said it would continue to monitor the public markets with a view to revisiting a potential listing in the future.

As per EGM data, Games Global’s in-house content is found on more than 900 unique operator sites, with Dark Waters Power Combo being the most-popular game based on number of game tiles.

Shavit wrote in a Linkedin post: “I’m thrilled to share that I’m joining Games Global as chief studio officer.

“It’s a unique opportunity to lead incredible creative teams worldwide, work with iconic content and join a leadership team with a clear ambition to shape the future of igaming.

“Looking forward to helping build great games, support creative excellence and deliver real value for players, operators and the business.”
