Gambling.com Group has rebranded to Grandstand, a move management suggests reflects on how the company has “materially diversified its business” since its 2021 IPO.

From Thursday, 23 July, the firm’s ordinary shares will trade on the Nasdaq under the new ticker symbol GRSD.

Grandstand, which started life as a casino and sports betting affiliate, has since diversified into sports data and added ticket booking platform Spotlight.Vegas via an M&A deal in 2025.

Bosses said: “The rebrand to Grandstand evolves the company name to better align with where it sits today – at the heart of the sports and gaming ecosystem, making consumers sharper and partners stronger through its broad portfolio of data, technology, content and audience solutions.”

The company will retain the Gambling.com affiliate site as a consumer brand, while continuing to run affiliate sites RotoWire, Casinos.com and WhichBingo.

Founded in 2006 as World Sports Network, the business was rebranded to KAX Media in 2009, two years before the Gambling.com domain was acquired. KAX Media became Gambling.com Group in 2017.

In April 2024, Grandstand completed its acquisition of various XLMedia assets in a deal worth up to $42.5m.

XLMedia proceeded to sell its remaining assets to Sportradar in a deal totalling $21m before eventually being shuttered.

Grandstand followed up the XLMedia move with a $160m acquisition of Odds Holdings, the parent company of OddsJam and OpticOdds.

In August 2025, Spotlight.Vegas was snapped up in a transaction worth up to $30m.

Former CEO Charles Gillespie, who was replaced by COO Kevin McCrystle following the company’s AGM in May, previously hinted at a corporate rebrand.

Speaking on the Q1 analyst call, Gillespie said the business was “considering” a change following a question from analyst Michael Hickey on the potential for a new identity.

“Gambling.com, the product, at this point is a smaller portion of Gambling.com Group’s overall portfolio than it has probably ever been. I would agree there is some potential merit and logic to thinking about a different brand,” he said at the time.

In May, Grandstand announced it was to cut 25% of its workforce in preparation for an “AI-first” future.

Various departments, including finance, SEO and content were impacted by the restructuring.

The firm’s shares have plummeted around 80% over the past 12 months to $1.88, at the time of writing.

A significant decline came following the redundancy programme, with the stock almost halving from $4.14 to $2.40. The business went public in 2021 at $8 a share.

McCrystle said: “Grandstand captures our position as the intelligence layer powering informed decisions for consumers and partners across sports, gaming and entertainment.

“The new name Grandstand brings together the broad array of products and services in our portfolio, while also creating room for what we are building now and our long-term roadmap.”

Gambling.com Group finished second in the 2026 edition of the EGR Power Affiliates, compiled in collaboration with accounting and auditing giant BDO.
