Flutter Entertainment is excited to announce that, starting October 1, 2025, Stefan Bomhard will become the company’s new independent non-executive director.
Bomhard is currently the CEO of Imperial Brands plc and plans to leave at the end of September. He will also step down as an executive director in December. He has held senior roles at several global companies, including Inchcape, Bacardi, Cadbury, Unilever, Diageo (Burger King), and Procter & Gamble.
Bomhard will also leave his position as a non-executive director at Compass Group plc to focus on Flutter.
John Bryant, Chair of Flutter’s Board, welcomed the appointment, saying Bomhard’s international leadership experience and expertise in sales, marketing, and consumer brands will add strong value to the board. Flutter also confirmed that Bomhard meets independence requirements under New York Stock Exchange rules.
Flutter in 2025
Bomhard’s appointment comes during a period of strong growth for Flutter. In Q2, Flutter reported a 25% year-over-year increase. However, net income dropped to $37 million due to higher costs and acquisition-related charges.
FanDuel accounted for 43% of group revenue, with US iGaming up 42% and sportsbook revenue up 11%. International revenue increased by 15%, driven by acquisitions in Italy and Brazil.
Back in August 2025, Flutter shut down Indian gaming operations after a sudden ban from the country’s gambling regulators.
