Flutter Entertainment has appointed Best Buy chair David Kenny as a non-executive director.
The New York-listed giant has announced Kenny’s proposed addition to the board ahead of the operator’s AGM on 29 May.
Alongside serving as Best Buy chair, Kenny is the executive chair at independent data firm Nielsen, having previously served as CEO between December 2018 and September 2023.
As CEO, he led the sale of the NielsenIQ in early 2021 and the eventual sale of the group to a private equity consortium fronted by Evergreen Coast Capital.
A former senior vice-president at IBM, Kenny also served as chair and CEO of The Weather Company, which was acquired by IBM.
Kenny becomes the third board member to be named by Flutter in the past five months.
In September, the FanDuel parent company announced former Imperial Brands CEO Stefan Bomhard had joined the company effective from 1 October.
Then, in December, the operator confirmed former Pfizer chief corporate affairs officer Sally Susman would come onboard post-AGM.
Flutter has refreshed its board since taking a primary listing in New York and shifting away from London.
In July 2024, former Liberty Media chief Robert Bennett and ex-Disney exec Christine M McCarthy were added as board members.
The operator had completed its primary listing shift to the US at the end of May of that year.
John Bryant, Flutter chair, said: “We are delighted to announce David’s appointment and welcome him to the board.
“We expect his leadership experience at complex technology, media and marketing businesses will be of great benefit to the board, and the group.”
