For Everi Holdings, prioritizing diversity has been a key element of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy for several years. In 2017, the company introduced a Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) to foster personal and professional growth among female employees. The initiative facilitates connections among female peers within the company, headquartered in Las Vegas, and has seen participation from over 165 employees since its launch.

WLI members are encouraged to engage in networking opportunities with company leaders and benefit from the Mentorship Program, which saw an expansion in 2022. According to a feature by the American Gaming Association in 2022, Everi emphasized that WLI members are involved in industry educational seminars and external networking events, including those organized by Global Gaming Women (GGW), a group devoted to enhancing the professional lives of women in the gaming industry through education, mentoring, and networking.

The company has been recognized as a leading workplace in the United States by making it onto the “Top Workplaces USA 2024” list for three consecutive years. This recognition is based on an independent employee engagement survey conducted by Energage.

Energage CEO Eric Rubino commented on this accolade in April 2022, stating, “The Top Workplaces award is a significant achievement and should be proudly displayed by companies. The people-first cultures these companies have developed and maintained distinguish them in a highly competitive market.”

### Commitment to Diversity

Everi’s unique organizational culture stems from its commitment to diversity, an aspect that contributes to earning such accolades. Presently, women comprise 33% of Everi’s board, with 22% of board members coming from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Notably, Secil Tabli Watson, a recent appointee to the board, is part of Extraordinary Women on Boards (EWOB), a private network for accomplished women serving on corporate boards.

Additionally, Eileen Raney, who chairs the Nominating and Governance Committee, holds the distinction of being a certified Board Leadership Fellow by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) since 2018.

An essential component of Everi’s commitment to sustainability is their dedication to responsible gambling. While, as a supplier, the company is somewhat distanced from the direct responsibility of providing self-exclusion solutions to players, it has developed the Self Transaction Exclusion Program (STEP). This initiative complements casino self-exclusion systems by allowing individuals to block their access to cash across Everi’s network of ATMs, cash kiosks, and booth services. The STEP program is effective for credit cards, ATM debit cards, and checking accounts.

Everi is gaining attention for its innovative approach to workforce and corporate culture, particularly as it prepares for a merger with International Game Technology (IGT) under Apollo Global’s acquisition. This merger received approval in November.

Over the coming week, iGB will unveil the top ten companies in FiNTEL Sustain’s Sustainability Plus rating system. Watch FiNTEL Sustain founders Robert Montgomery and Steven Myers discuss the development of a gaming-specific sustainability rating system in this exclusive interview.
