Former PSK head of sportsbook Mate Vrdoljak has announced he’s become Fortuna Entertainment Group’s (FEG) group head of sportsbook and trading.

Vrdoljak spent 13 years with the FEG subsidiary, initially joining in July 2013 in a technical and customer support role.

He was then promoted to bookmaker in April 2015, staying in the role until September 2021, when he stepped into the position of deputy head of trading.

In September 2022, Vrdoljak was appointed head of sportsbook at the Croatian operator.

Making the announcement on LinkedIn,Vrdoljak said he was looking forward to shaping FEG’s sportsbook and “achieving great things together”.

“Exactly 13 years ago, I started a journey that shaped my career in ways I could never have imagined,” he wrote. “Today, I’m proud and excited to begin a new chapter as group head of sportsbook and trading.

“Leaving my leadership role at PSK is not easy. Still, the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with outstanding experts across Croatia, Czechia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Slovakia is one I’m truly excited about.

“My sincere thanks to the FEG team, led by Dieter John [CEO], for their trust and for giving me this opportunity to grow, contribute and shine at a broader level.”

FEG purchased PSK in 2017, as part of the €135m acquisition of Hattrick Sports Group.

Alongside Vrdoljak taking on a new role, FEG has shifted Patrik Reichelt to become Fortuna Czechia’s new head of sportsbook.

Reichelt spent seven years with FEG at a group-level across trading, risk and sportsbook.

In February, EGR sat down with John as he discussed his vision under the ‘FEG 2.0’ strategy.

FEG is operational in several Central and Eastern European markets, including Romania, Poland, Montenegro through its acquisition of Lob last October and Czechia.
