FanDuel’s prediction markets platform, FanDuel Predicts, has completed its phased expansion and is now available in 50 US states.

The product, a joint venture with derivatives marketplace CME Group, first launched in December as the operator took its nascent steps into the space.

Initially, the platform was only available in five US states – Alabama, Alaska, South Carolina, North Dakota and South Dakota.

A phased rollout to other US jurisdictions was planned for 2026, as per FanDuel’s initial announcement.

Now, FanDuel Predicts is live in every state in some capacity, with sports event contracts available in 18 states.

In addition to the five states FanDuel Predicts entered in December, sports event contracts are now live in the three largest states with no form of legal sports betting in Texas, Georgia and California.

Sports event contracts will also be available in Florida, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho and Minnesota.

Customers in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Nebraska and Utah will also be able to trade on sports event contracts.

The remaining 32 states where FanDuel Predicts is now live will only have access to finance, economic and commodity markets.

FanDuel was one of several major operators to launch a prediction markets product towards the end of last year.

The likes of DraftKingsFanatics, PrizePicks and Underdog all ventured into the space in some capacity.

FanDuel, alongside DraftKings and Fanatics, left the American Gaming Association (AGA) with the trade body a vociferous opponent of what it sees as unregulated wagering.

Several states have also pushed back against prediction markets in recent months.

Lawmakers in Tennessee and Connecticut have sent cease-and-desist letters to prediction markets providers including Kalshi, Robinhood, Crypto.com and Polymarket in the last month.

Regulators in MarylandNevada and Massachusetts also warned operators against involvement with prediction markets platforms towards the end of last year.

Earlier this month, the AGA and Indian Gaming Association (IGA) wrote a joint letter calling for Congress to intervene and help curtail the growth of prediction markets across the country.
