FanDuel CEO Amy Howe has left the company after five years amid a senior reshuffle at parent company Flutter Entertainment.

Howe, who joined the business in 2021 from Live Nation Entertainment, will be replaced by FanDuel president Christian Genetski with immediate effect

Genetski joined the US sports betting and igaming giant in 2015, when it was purely a DFS company, and served as chief legal officer and chief commercial officer before becoming president in 2022.

Howe was drafted in as interim boss in the summer of 2021 to replace Matt King, who has since become CEO of Fanatics Betting and Gaming.

She took up the role permanently in October of that year, becoming one of the few women running a gambling company.

Besides Howe’s departure, Flutter has announced that Dan Taylor will take on the newly created role of Flutter Entertainment president.

Taylor will retain his position as CEO of the International division, a post he has held since 2020.

In his new role, Taylor will be responsible for the “commercial delivery of Flutter’s global brand portfolio” and work closely with management to “drive results and maximise the group’s scale, expertise and investment”.

Howe’s departure, which was broken by CNBC hours before Flutter reported its Q1 2026 earnings, comes as the operator behind brands such as Paddy Power, Sisal and PokerStars looks to shift its strategy in the US.

Bosses said FanDuel has “narrowed ownership of the drivers of sportsbook performance” and that the changes would “sharpen the focus”.

To that end, the New York-listed giant said the sportsbook team had been “restructured”.

Speaking on her departure, Howe said: “It has been a privilege to lead FanDuel over the past five years. I’m incredibly proud of the business we’ve built and the talented team behind it, as well as the entertainment experiences we deliver to our customers every day.

“Together, we have established a clear leadership position in the market, strengthened our product and brand, and built strong foundations for future growth.

“With the business well positioned for what comes next, I believe this is the right moment to hand over to new leadership to build on that progress and capture the opportunities ahead.

“I leave with great confidence in the team and the future of FanDuel and I look forward to seeing its continued success.”

Peter Jackson, Flutter CEO, added: “With significant growth potential ahead, we have decided this is the right moment for new leadership at FanDuel. I would like to thank Amy for her contribution to Flutter and FanDuel and recognise the impact she has had on the business since joining in 2021.

“During this time, FanDuel has experienced periods of strong performance alongside meaningful change and transformation. We wish her every success for the future.”

Jackson said he was “delighted” Genetski will take up the reins. “He has a strong track record at FanDuel and deep market knowledge, and we are confident he will build momentum and continue strengthening FanDuel’s position as the leading online sportsbook and igaming operator in the US.

“He will work closely with Dan, who brings extensive global industry and commercial expertise to his new role. We remain focused on delivering Flutter’s strategy and converting our scale, technology and customer offering into sustained, profitable growth.”

Flutter shares closed down 4% today to around $99. The stock has plunged by more than 50% since the turn of the year, while its market cap is currently $17.2bn, which is its lowest level since summer 2022.

Elsewhere, the company finished atop the 2026 EGR Power US Rankings, published today, 6 May, in collaboration with accountancy and auditing giant BDO for the seventh year in a row.

Earlier this month, FanDuel became an official betting partner of Formula 1 as part of a multi-year deal.
