Evoke has officially opened the doors to its brand new office space in Leeds.
The headquarters, located in Leeds’ West Village, will house 750 staff spread across the operator’s retail, trading, product, technology, compliance, anti-money laundering and people teams.
The new space is located a 15-minute walk away from evoke’s former St Johns office, which accommodated the operator for 20 years, and is also 10 minutes from Leeds Station.
Although most employees will continue to work from home, the new office has been designated as a “dedicated space for collaboration and connection”.
In addition to several meeting rooms and breakout spaces, the office will also have a state-of-the-art broadcast studio, which is due to open in November.
A key hub
An evoke statement said: “The move, and investment in Leeds, underpins evoke’s ongoing commitment to the city, which is today a key hub for the group. It also reflects evoke’s Value Creation Plan, which is centered on creating a winning culture.
“The Leeds office has been designed to support this high-performance culture and provides a workplace where colleagues can unleash their full potential. In line with the group’s values to ‘Win Together’, the investment reinforces evoke’s commitment to creating a great place to work and recognises the importance of a collaborative and winning culture.”
Rik Barker, evoke’s chief information technology officer, added: “We’re proud to open our new office at West Village in Leeds. Leeds is a key hub for our business, and this long-term investment underlines our commitment to the city and to the colleagues who make an impact here.
“The launch was a fantastic milestone, with teams exploring the innovative workspace and its modern facilities built for collaboration. We’re delighted to relaunch evoke in Leeds and I’m keen for us to play a growing role in the city’s tech communities.”
The opening of evoke’s new office is part of a wider trend that sees Leeds continue to be a hub for some of the UK’s biggest gambling companies.
In April, LeoVegas Group announced plans to open a new office on the ground and lower floors of Tailor’s Corner.
Flutter also operates a Leeds office at Wellington Place, while Superbet runs a satellite hub in the city.
