EPIC Global Solutions has named former Ernst & Young (EY) partner Sanjay Bhandari as its new chair with immediate effect.
Bhandari succeeds the late Mark Fuller, who passed away last month after a year-long illness.
The gambling harm prevention consultancy said the appointment would “ensure continuity of leadership and strong governance” as it plans to expand international operations.
Bhandari currently serves as the independent chair of Super League Basketball and Kick It Out, English football’s equality and inclusion charity.
The new EPIC chair previously sat on the boards of the Lawn Tennis Association and law firm Travers Smith.
He spent more than 11 years with EY and had a spell with rival accountancy giant KPMG earlier in his career.
On his appointment, Bhandari said: “EPIC has established itself as a highly credible and impactful organisation in the field of gambling harm prevention.
“I am looking forward to working with the board and management team to support strong governance, sustainable growth and the continued evolution of its services in response to changing regulatory and societal expectations.”
