Entain has appointed PHD as the operator’s new media buying and planning agency for its five UK-facing brands.
The decision to opt for Omnicom-owned PHD brings an end to a seven-month process, with the firm now entrusted to oversee all media buying and planning for Ladbrokes, Coral, FoxyBingo, Gala and Party Poker, effective 1 January 2026.
As per advertising trade journal Campaign, Entain shortlisted PHD as one of two final candidates, the other being WPP’s Mindshare.
PHD parent company Omnicom Media Group boasts 107 offices worldwide, employing 6,500 staff members.
Previous clients of PHD include Google, Audi, Chanel and Delta Airlines.
Charlotte Emery, Entain’s chief marketing officer, said: “We are looking forward to working with PHD who have demonstrated a great understanding of our business and the ambition for our portfolio of brands, which all have distinct customer segments and brand strategies.
“As we look to our future, I would also like to thank the significant contribution The 7 Stars have made to our business during the last decade. We wish them every success for the future.”
Paul Knight, PHD CEO, added: “Entain has an ambitious house of brands. Our appointment is an incredible opportunity to leverage the power of our ‘Intelligence. Connected.’ offer to deliver truly distinctive and effective work together.”
In other Entain news, the operator recently announced that group general counsel Simon Zinger was extending his remit to take on the role of chief customer care officer, as well as his usual responsibilities.
The operator also revealed in August that Andrew Vouris has been selected to lead the company’s Australia and New Zealand efforts as CEO of Entain’s ANZ markets, having been in the role in an interim capacity since June.
