Entain group general counsel Simon Zinger has been named as the operator’s new chief customer care officer.
Zinger will retain his existing position as group general counsel, in which he has served since February 2021, as he takes on the wider role.
His remit as chief customer care officer will include overseeing the Ladbrokes parent company’s customer care division, which houses several employees across the globe.
Entain’s customer care division is responsible for managing customer support and interaction, customer protections, fraud and risk prevention, as well as operational effectiveness.
The division is currently led by group director of customer service and operations Kelly Ellwood, who will report into Zinger.
Prior to joining Entain four years ago, Zinger served as Dentsu’s group general counsel for 18 years, which was preceded by a stint as assistant general counsel at Vivendi.

“In my first few weeks in the new role, I have connected with so many experienced and talented colleagues and I am very much looking forward to working closer with them, especially at a time when we are taking steps to build and enhance our capabilities even further.
“In my general counsel position, I was already working with many customer care colleagues in areas such as regulatory compliance, licensing, safer gambling, fraud prevention and anti-financial crime.
“This wider role allows me to support our customer care teams and initiatives in a much deeper way and helps support synergies between our teams to benefit our customers and other stakeholders even further.”
Entain’s senior leadership team has seen a series of changes in the last 12 months, with Stella David being confirmed as permanent CEO in April and Dafne Guisard joining as COO in January.
