The number of new entrants in this years’ ranking, with Acquire.bet, Betanddeal and GameTime Digital all breaking into the top 25. Acquire.bet is a US-facing operation, and boasts partners such as Fanatics, BetRivers and Underdog. There has also been a bolstering of operations in Africa to complement the US core. Spanish firm Betanddeal focuses on Europe and spent much of last year flexing its M&A muscle. GameTime Digital, coming in at 23rd, was only formed in 2024 following a merger of Apps4 Web Media and Sword Media.

April marks the 40th anniversary of the Racing Post launching, and parent company Spotlight Sports Group marked the occasion by jumping up to fourth place in the ranking. The brand remains the leading light in the London-headquartered company’s portfolio. Not to be caught out as a dinosaur despite its relative age, the Racing Post has ramped up its social media content in recent years to attract a younger audience. With horseracing facing major pressures, and the wider world shifting at a rapid speed, the next 40 years of the Racing Post will surely make the past four decades seem glacial in comparison.

Nine in a row has special connotations in Scotland, with Glasgow rivals Celtic and Rangers each having won the Scottish Premier League in nine consecutive years. Celtic pip Rangers 2-1 on the feat, with the magic 10-in-a-row still yet to have been completed. Better Collective just chalked off its ninth gold medal in the EGR Power Affiliates, and the Danish firm will be aiming for denary success in 2027. A mammoth of a business, a leadership shakeup to bring in a co-CEO model came last year. While the number of publicly listed gambling affiliates remains slim, Gambling.com Group boasts the largest market cap out of any. Plus, the fact the business remains the only listed gambling affiliate in the US is another feather in the cap. Remaining in second place again, the company grew every quarter in 2025. A move into new revenue streams, powered by the acquisition of Odds Holdings, saw sports data services overtake SEO revenue in Q4 for the first time. A new CEO will be in the chair by the next edition of the EGR Power Affiliates, with COO Kevin McCrystle due to replace Charles Gillespie in the hot seat following the May AGM.

Game Lounge replicated its feat in 2025 by being the affiliate with the highest leap in the ranking, moving from 13th to eighth. The Malta-based firm has been on a stellar trajectory, having been in 22nd in 2023. With more than 130 sites serving 30-plus markets, the business is of significant size. A focus on improving positions in existing markets was key, while some senior additions were made to the top team. Those included chief strategy and transformation officer Vlad Jankovic. His arrival was heralded as a catalyst for the firm moving from a “volume-based publisher” to a “technology-led data and media platform”. No pressure, Vlad.
