Less than six months after entering the U.S. market, DraftKings is expanding its online sportsbook with the launch in Puerto Rico.

The operator confirmed that the sportsbook will be available only to residents, as eligible Puerto Ricans can register in person at Foxwoods El San Juan Casino, while foreigners and visitors won’t have access to DraftKings.

DraftKings Executive Vice President Gregory Karamitis said:

“Puerto Rico has a passionate sports community, and launching our online sportsbook allows us to meet fans where they are. With retail already live at Foxwoods El San Juan Casino, mobile represents the next step in expanding the DraftKings experience across the island, giving eligible local customers a seamless, exciting, and responsible way to engage with sports.”

Initially, DraftKings entered Puerto Rico in November 2025 and improved its position through a partnership with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation to offer brick-and-mortar betting. Additionally, the operator grew its retail presence with the help of a collaboration with the LionGrove investment firm.

The sportsbook launch in Puerto Rico comes as DraftKings presented its Spanish-language functionality, which started offering its sportsbook and online casino apps both in the U.S. and Ontario, and is expected to further strengthen brand presence ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
