DraftKings has unveiled a new sports betting product in Oregon, DK Replay, based on historical Major League Baseball (MLB) games.
Eligible customers are able to bet pitch-by-pitch on thousands of anonymised plate appearances from past seasons.
The product went live on Wednesday, 25 March, in Oregon only, and is available via the DraftKings Sportsbook app.
DraftKings said DK Replay was approved to launch by the Oregon Lottery. The New York-listed company is the only legal sports betting operator in the state via its partnership with the Oregon Lottery.
DK Replay presents users with an anonymised matchup between pitcher and batter, both of which will be rated bronze, silver or gold based on stats from the original game.
These key states include batting average, strikeouts per nine innings, ERA and slugging percentage.
Customers can place a wager on whether the next pitch will result in a ball, strike or in-play.

Once a customer places a bet, the outcome of the historical pitch will be revealed. Customers will then be given the full original details of the pitch, including the pitcher, batter and original game information.
Users will then have the option to bet on a new matchup.
The operator said it was hoping to roll out DK Replay in other states, subject to regulatory approvals.
Corey Gottlieb, DraftKings chief product officer, remarked: “DK Replay offers a new experience for our customers, allowing them to tap into the excitement of pitch-by-pitch betting in a unique historical environment.
“With DK Replay, we’re able to offer an experience that will allow customers to enjoy their favourite sports no matter the time of year.”
