English golfer Marco Penge has faced disciplinary action by the DP World Tour due to breaches related to betting integrity.

Penge breached the PGA European Tour’s Integrity Programme, which prohibits players from placing or encouraging bets on the outcomes, performance, or conduct of any professional or elite amateur golf tournaments worldwide.

An Independent Disciplinary Panel determined that Penge placed bets on various golf events, though none involved tournaments he was personally participating in.

As a result, Penge received a two-month suspension, with the possibility of extension if further violations are identified. Additionally, he was fined £2,000.

The disciplinary commission noted Penge’s immediate admission of the infraction and his full cooperation during the investigation, which influenced the final decision regarding his sanctions.

Penge’s suspension began on December 13, 2024, and he will be eligible to return to play on the DP World Tour starting February 13 of the following year.
