Cricket data firm Decimal Data has announced the appointment of former Stats Perform stalwart Andrew Ashenden as the company’s new CEO.

Founded in 2020, Decimal Data specialises in real-time cricket data, intelligence, predictions and odds.

Sitting within the Decimal Data Group umbrella, the firm is headed up by founder and head of product Charlie Bruce and chief trading officer Ben Newton.

Decimal Data has been registered in the Isle of Man since December 2020, while the group has held two licences from the Gambling Commission since May 2025.

The platform is aiming to deliver “elite level, trading-grade fast data coverage and precision live odds for more than 10,000 live games”  in 2026.

Ashenden joins after spending 17 years at data supplier Stats Perform between April 2007 and October 2024.

Initially joining as a mobile manager, Ashenden would go on to serve as chief commercial officer until July 2019.

He also held the role of chief betting officer at Stats Perform between August 2019 and October 2024.

As CEO, Ashenden will be tasked with overseeing Decimal Data’s next phase of growth across real-time official cricket data rights, odds, video, managed trading, intelligence, predictive products and new verticals.

Decimal Data has three offices in the UK, Dubai and South Africa and has around 80 staff on its books.

The firm has embarked on a hiring spree this year prior to the confirmation of Ashenden taking on the top job.

Fellow Stats Perform alum Elisa Martinez Ones joined as chief people officer earlier this month, while ex-UK Tote Group head Jamie Benson was secured as chief of staff.

Former Genius Sports vice-president Laura Canham was unveiled as head of legal in April after more than six years with the New York-listed data giant.

Decimal Data offers nine core pillars to its business, including the standard cricket sportsbook, bet builders, virtuals and also cricket-powered casino games.

Speaking about his appointment, Ashenden said: “Cricket is one of the world’s biggest sports, one of the hardest to analyse, and continues to grow rapidly, including in the women’s game.

“Decimal Data is the world’s largest specialist team of cricket data, intelligence, technology and trading experts. I’ve been a long-term admirer, and I’m very proud to be joining such an impressive business.”

“Charlie and Ben have an unrivalled knowledge of the game of cricket and have built a team of talented people, with a high-performance culture grounded in dedication, camaraderie and shared purpose.”

He continued: “It’s an exciting time to join. The company is investing further in rights, people, technology and customer-facing products. Men’s and women’s cricket is soaring in popularity globally and Decimal is at the heart of the action.

“We have an opportunity to make it even richer to experience, and more valuable for rightsholders, teams, media platforms, sportsbooks, prediction markets, sponsors and fans.”

Bruce added: “Ash has an exceptional track record in turning sports data and content into valuable global products for rightsholders, media companies and sportsbooks.

“His expertise, instincts and leadership abilities are exactly what Decimal needs as we scale our mission to help professional cricket attract more value, attention and investment.”
