DAZN has announced a fresh media partnership with the media technology company, LTN.
This collaboration is part of DAZN’s strategy to enhance its influence in the betting industry beyond the services offered by its own sportsbook, DAZN Bet. The aim is to provide live coverage from major international football events to betting enthusiasts and commercial partners in Germany.
The partnership leverages LTN’s automated linear channel and playout technologies, enabling DAZN to deliver 11 low-latency, live streaming channels to 1,000 betting venues and its distribution partner, Amazon Prime Video.
Chris Myers, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of LTN, remarked, “DAZN is at the forefront of creating innovative linear channels and distribution strategies to captivate new audiences with fan-focused streaming, available on any platform.
“Our exclusive collaboration aids DAZN in expanding its business cost-effectively with a versatile, user-friendly system, ensuring major live events reach rapidly growing audiences with seamless low latency transmissions. We are proud to support DAZN’s expansion into new markets and its efforts to boost global viewership.”
Germany has been a key market for DAZN for some time, particularly due to the significance of its DAZN Bet service. Germany was the fourth market to launch the sportsbook, following its rollouts in the UK, Spain, and Italy.
Additionally, DAZN plays an important role as a media partner for Germany’s top-tier football leagues, the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2. Reflecting on the recent media rights agreement, the German Football League (DFB) has renewed its contract, making DAZN a rights holder for several matches, as reported [here](https://sbcnews.co.uk/sportsbook/2023/09/19/dazn-bet-germany-launch/).
This new deal with LTN strengthens DAZN’s presence in Germany by ensuring content from prestigious international football competitions reaches top local sportsbooks like Tipico and Bet3000. This winter, DAZN plans to launch a pop-up linear channel offering up to eight simultaneous matches to its distribution partners.
Bernd Brunner, DAZN’s Head of Linear Channel, mentioned, “We cater to sports fans everywhere by providing engaging and distinctive live experiences. In-play wagering demands highly reliable streaming — fans watching in local betting shops want streams that are nearly real-time.
“LTN provides low latency from ingestion to distribution, offering straightforward, scalable, dependable services that our team can manage from any location. We view LTN as a growth partner, enhancing our value and expanding our audience reach with top-tier sports content.”
