MGM Resorts International announced the retirement of Corey Sanders, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, planned for late 2025 after more than 30 years with the company.

Since 2010, Sanders has been controlling MGM’s Las Vegas and regional properties together with corporate areas like hospitality, gaming, and human resources.

During his career at MGM, Sanders held main positions, including Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, with leadership roles in finance and operations in divisions such as MGM Grand, MGM Grand Resorts, and MGM MIRAGE.

Bill Hornbuckle, President and CEO of MGM Resorts, said:

“It’s impossible to overstate what Corey has meant to this company over the last 30-plus years. He has been a constant presence, providing foundational leadership for all the key moments that have defined our history – from our acquisitions of Mirage Group and Mandalay Resort Group to our regional property openings and expansions like Springfield, National Harbor, Empire City, and Borgata.”

Sanders will continue as COO until December 31, 2025, and then serve as an advisor to MGM’s President and CEO through the end of 2026. MGM will name Sander’s successor later this month.
