Coolbet president Endre Nesset has stepped down from his role with the operator following its acquisition by Sega Sammy last year.
Nesset had served as the firm’s president since August 2022, having stepped up from his position as senior vice-president of global sports.
He originally joined the brand, which operates mainly across Northern Europe and Latam, in August 2020 as director of sports from Gaming Innovation Group (GiG).
Nesset had previously spent almost eight years with GiG before heading to Coolbet.
Coolbet was acquired by Sega Sammy last May after the Japanese giant snapped up Coolbet’s parent GAN in a deal worth $96m.
The deal was a protracted affair, with Sega Sammy having first announced its intention to snap up GAN in November 2023.
GAN, which runs North America B2B operations, had previously acquired Coolbet in 2021 from Vincent Group for $175.9m.
Speaking to EGR earlier this year, Nesset said Coolbet is an igaming-first operator, with around 60% to 65% of revenue coming from online casino.
Operating in 10 markets, the brand has carved out a strong position in Chile, while it also has licences in Peru and Ecuador.
Coolbet broke into the EGR Power 50 ranking for the first time in 2025, debuting in 50th place.
Nesset said: “After close to six super cool years, my journey at Coolbet has come to an end.
“With the acquisition by Sega Sammy fully complete, the time has come for me to step back and let others take the brand to new heights.
“I will look back at my time at Coolbet with nothing but smiles and happy memories.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with so many awesome people and together we have tackled everything the world has thrown at us, and together, we have managed to come out on top time after time.
“A special shout out to all our friends and partners who have supported us on this cool journey and helped grow Coolbet into the amazing brand it is today.”
