To enhance funding for subsidized health care and boost the gambling industry, Coljuegos has awarded the operation of Keno, projected to generate over COP $485 billion in monopoly revenue over the next five years.
Keno has been granted concessions across four regions of the country, encompassing all 32 departments. Market studies indicate that sales from this game are expected to surpass COP $2.3 trillion.
“The concession of the game was carried out through an open process for all interested operators. We are pleased to tell the public that the awarding was done transparently and with a plurality of bidders,” stated Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos.
In this regard, the regions will be organized as follows:
Region One: Arauca, Casanare, Cauca, Chocó, Córdoba, Guainía, Guaviare, Nariño, Sucre, Valle del Cauca, Vaupés, and Vichada. Operated by: Operador Regional de Keno S.A.S.
Region Two: San Andrés, Atlántico, Bolívar, Cesar, La Guajira, Magdalena, and Norte de Santander. Operated by: Costa Operador Keno S.A.S.

Each operator will have a pre-operational phase of four months, during which they must set up everything necessary for the effective sale of the game from the start of operations (January 2026).
“In total, we expect to have more than 16,000 sales terminals across the country. With this, we aim to expand the offering for bettors and consolidate the gambling sector as a fundamental pillar of the national economy,” said Hincapié.
According to Coljuegos, players will be able to purchase tickets through physical points or digital sales channels. Each bet can range from COP $1,000 to a maximum of COP $20,000, and the maximum prize that a player can initially win will be up to COP $1.68 million. Prizes may also vary according to the value of each bet. Draws, which will take place from Sunday to Sunday, within a range of 6 to 10 minutes. Therefore, between 144 and 240 draws will be conducted daily (depending on the frequency chosen by the operator), which will be broadcast through digital channels such as YouTube, websites, and more.
