Catena Media has announced its results for the second quarter of 2026, revealing that the affiliate business’s revenue remained relatively flat at €9.5 million, representing a slight 1% year-on-year decrease.

At the same time, Catena’s EBITDA decreased significantly by 46%, reaching €1.2 million, while adjusted EBITDA fell by another 11%, also reaching €1.2 million. According to management, the weaker performance is tied to structural changes that are currently present in the broader affiliate sector because of changes in organic search.

Catena Media CEO, Manuel Stan, commented:

“The financial volatility that arises from the unpredictability of a search-dependent business model led Catena Media’s board and management earlier this year to begin exploring how to reshape the business towards a model that reduces exposure to any single external factor.”

On the other hand, the company shared that its media network increased new depositing customer referrals to 24,781, up by 23%. Additionally, the North America segment continued to be the biggest market for Catena, contributing 97% of the quarter’s revenue, with the region’s revenue rising by 6% to €9.2 million.

Catena Media also announced a new initiative to begin a share buyback program that’s set to cover up to 5.98% of outstanding shares. Management further announced that the company aims to expand beyond search-driven affiliation by creating a new platform to connect publishers and advertisers through an automated marketplace.
