On September 10 AGEM will be hosting a webinar during Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM) titled, Can Responsible Gaming (RG) Keep up with the Changing Landscape of Gambling?
AGEM’s Director of RG, Connie Jones, will moderate the discussion, joined by Dr. Travis Sztainert of ICRG and Ian Thomas, Chair of the IMGL RG Committee. The webinar will explore new directions in RG such as the evolving role of RG staff: support or surveillance?; AI powered tools and innovations; public perceptions of sports betting policy; and the use of apps in lieu of, or in conjunction with, RG tools on games.
Ian Thomas, gaming attorney and Chair of the RG Committee for the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), will provide an overview of the RG Masterclass session taking place during G2E as well key points from the RG session on Youth at IMGL’s autumn conference in Lisbon, Portugal.
Dr. Travis Sztainert, Director of Research and Education at the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG), is leading the program for this year’s ICRG Conference on Gambling and Addiction (CGA), held in conjunction with G2E. Dr. Sztainert will provide highlights of the CGA program, including sessions on tailoring responsible gambling (RG) messaging to players and changing gambling behaviors among emerging adults. He will also share insights from RG and problem gambling (PG) research that reflect the evolving marketplace.
