Entain has announced the opening of its new office in Vienna, Austria, which will house its bwin brand.
Founded in Austria in 1997, bwin’s new office has an open-floor plan with both seated and standing desks and enclosed glass meeting booths.
The hub also has a sports bar complete with video game arcade machines and a dart board, as well as rooftop area overlooking the imperial capital city of Vienna.
Florian Sauer, Entain group international compliance director and managing director of the Vienna office, remarked: “I’m very excited we have finally moved to this new place after 20 years in our old office.
“I think a change of scenery is exactly what we needed and I trust [the move] will have a very positive impact on the culture here and also on the collaboration.”

Heidi Jennifer Hornasek, regional people operations lead, said the new hub was “more than a workplace”, having been “designed to support collaboration, flexibility and a great employee experience”.
According to Entain’s website, Austria is “home to Entain sportsbook” and hosts departments and teams including technology, commercial, legal, regulatory and compliance and customer care.
Bwin is currently the title sponsor of the Austrian Grand Prix, as well as the NFL’s exclusive betting partner in Germany and Austria and basketball EuroLeague sponsor.
The London-listed operator is currently looking for a portfolio lead to work out of its Vienna office, with the job description outlining the successful candidate will be “accountable for delivery performance across a sub-domain of four-six pods (engineering, quality, product)”.
The investment in a new office in Vienna comes at a time when parent company Entain announced midway through September that it could cut up to 400 jobs in its customer care division due to increased gambling taxes in the UK market.
Two months earlier, it announced it would be axing 500 jobs across its online operations.
