Thomas Plenborg has been appointed as Better Collective’s new chair following the conclusion of its 2026 AGM.
Plenborg had been proposed by the group’s nomination and remuneration committee to replace the outgoing Jens Bager ahead of the meeting.
Earlier this month, Bager announced he would not be seeking re-election to the post. He had served as chair for almost a decade.
Plenborg has sat on Better Collective’s board since 2025. He is currently chair of Danish logistics firm DSV.
Better Collective said Plenborg’s appointment came as the group entered its “its next phase of strategic growth”.
The affiliate recently rolled out a new prediction markets hub on Action Network and VegasInsider as it looks to take advantage of the vertical’s rise in the US.
A commitment to AI has also been highlighted by the Danish firm, including its Playbook product.
Also, during the AGM, vice-chair Therese Hillman and board members René Efraim Rechtman, Leif Nørgaard, Britt Ingrid Boeskov and Todd Dunlap were all re-elected.
Plenborg said: “I would like to express my appreciation to Jens for his leadership and long-standing commitment to Better Collective.
“He has played a central role in shaping the governance, strategic direction and growth journey over the past decade.
“I now look forward to working closely with the management team and my fellow board members to continue developing Better Collective for the benefit of all our stakeholders, including our customers, partners, employees and shareholders.”
